DropLiit
As part of my Usability & Human Interaction course at Northeastern, I was the designated leader of a team that created a mobile app prototype for a music industry start-up. Through extensive communications with the client and a robust research process, my team developed designs that fused social media and job board functionality to empower aspiring musicians.

Helping Emerging Artists Navigate the Music Industry
Problem: In the modern music industry, it has become absolutely vital for musicians to promote their work through digital media in order to attain success and financial stability. For many musicians, however, a lack of resources, knowledge, and relevant platforms makes this highly challenging.

Solution: DropLiit aims to fill this void by creating a digital platform that is especially designed for musicians. Users can promote their recent songs and projects, reach out to potential collaborators, and search for gig and job listings, all in one application.

Brand Research and Customer Persona
My group and I began this project with extensive research of potential competitors and the music industry in general, focusing specifically on pain points for aspiring musicians. This led to the development of a customer persona that allowed our group to pinpoint the values and objectives of our users so that we could be continually mindful of them throughout the process.

Final Mobile Prototypes
My group utilized Figma to create a fully-functioning prototype of the application. This prototype seamlessly merges typical social media and job board page styles to create a one-stop-shop for aspiring musicians. The designs establish a brand based on creativity, artistry, and a consistently intuitive user experience. A portfolio development tool allows users to highlight their projects and easily apply to relevant opportunities.
